I gave this a little thought after my response to mrtt, and I’m going with the idea that the eggs can’t be fertilized by someone outside the species. But honestly? We’d have to ask DarkZuri, the creator of Arcana the Dragon (which is why I will now note that it is interesting you called back to the episode DZ drew XD). In the context of the BGRU (Blue-Gray Rhapsody Universe), I decided that I probably don’t want to specify if they are more decorative or delicacy. I’ll leave that determination up to the warped minds of my followers to fill in that blank. XD
