It seems odd that this mercenary treasure hunter has a mix of friends instead of being a loner, but I think I was expecting a stereotype. It makes sense that she would want to make a lot of friends and contacts to find jobs and payment. She’d definitely a better role model than women created by writers who think that “strong female” means “treats everyone around her like dirt.”
It’s all about different circumstances. In the “prime” universe, she’s harder. More cynical. Doesn’t trust as easily. We shall explore these issues in greater depth when the “prime” series begins updating again. I have a lot of territory to cover over there.
